Here are the slides and notes for “Social Media Marketing for the Lean Startup,” my second presentation at Silicon Valley Product Camp 2011 last weekend. This is a brief tactical introduction for product managers, marketing managers, and others who need to promote their blog, web site, and videos using social media. It covers how to:
- set up and configure a blog using WordPress
- search engine optimize (SEO) your web site and blog posts
- promote a blog or web site with twitter, RSS, and sharing icons
- make a video at low cost and publish it to YouTube and elsewhere
- video search engine optimization (VSEO)
Bob Sawyer kindly took notes which I have included below. Thanks to the sponsors and organizers of Silicon Valley Product Camp 2011 for putting together and managing a fantastic, educational, well-attended conference and to the attendees for great questions and feedback!
